This study investigates the impact of policy and institutional factors on food insecurity in the region. Using comprehensive panel data from 38 countries over 2005-2021, various econometric techniques are employed, with system GMM chosen as the final analysis tool. The findings reveal significant negative relationships between strong policy and institutional components and food insecurity. Factors such as equity on public resource, fiscal policy, macroeconomic management, public sector management, and structural policy play a crucial role in reducing undernourishment. This study highlights the urgency of addressing food insecurity and emphasizes the need for targeted interventions based on specific policy and institution factors. It contributes to existing literature and underscores the importance of effective policies to achieve sustainable food security in sub-Saharan Africa.enThe Impact of Countries’ Policy and Institutional Frameworks on Food Insecurity: Evidence from Sub-Saharan Africa Using Dynamic Panel DataThesis
