The donoracceptor- donor monomers, namely, 5,8-bis(5-bromothiophen-2-yl)-2,3-bis(3-(tert-butyl dimethylsilyloxy)phenyl)quinoxaline and 5,8-bis(5-bromothiophen-2-yl)-2,3-bis(3-(2-(2- methoxyethoxy) ethoxy)phenyl)quinoxaline were prepared starting from 3-bromophenol and 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole. The polymers were synthesized by using Suzuki coupling polymerization reaction. The resulting polymers showed good solubility in chloroform. The electrochemical behaviors of the copolymers were characterized by cyclic voltammetry. The synthesized compounds were characterized using spectroscopic techniquesenFluorene-Based AlternatingFluorene-Based Alternating Copolymers: Synthesis and CharacterizationThesis
