But control problems associated with system uncertainties and system inherent nonlinearities remain big challenges for control engineers. In this paper stack PEA is modeled with hysteresis effect using rate independent hysteresis in order to increase precision. The hysteresis is linearized using Gaussian stochastic linearization technique and self-tuning fuzzy PID controller is designed in this paper. The system response of the system is compared with traditional PID controller. The self-tuning fuzzy PID controller perform better than the traditional PID controller with different conditions. The comparison included parameter variations, external disturbance rejection and delay time.en-USStack PEAhysteresislinearizationPID controllerself-tuning FPID controllerSelf-Tuning Fuzzy PID Based Position Control of Stack Piezoelectric Actuator for High Precision ApplicationsThesis
