Dagnachew AssefaBetsegaw Endalew2026-08-312026-08-312025-06-01https://etd.aau.edu.et/handle/123456789/8925Robert Nozick, American philosopher, through his book "Anarchy, State, and Utopia", introduced the concept of utopia, a framework of an institutional structure that ensures peaceful coexistence among voluntarily established communities. When we analyse the current reality in the world, realising such a utopian framework in a given practical society appears to be highly unrealistic. However, this thesis contends that, while the utopian society appears implausible, it can be put into practice to some extent with the establishment of some practical implementation procedures. So, this paper, by presenting the main concepts and argument of Nozick's conception of utopia and by acknowledging complexities and limitations, will present possible procedural implementation strategies and will show how Nozick’s utopian conception will be put into practice.
