Minimalist design, characterized by simplicity, functionality, and elegance, has gained global prominence. However, its implementation in Ethiopia, with its unique socio-cultural environment, presents distinct challenges. Addis Ababa, experiencing rapid urbanization and development, provides a pertinent context to investigate how minimalistic design principles can be integrated into local architectural practices while addressing managerial challenges. The study aims to identify the specific obstacles encountered by professionals in the field and provide insights into effective management strategies. By combining professional interviews with a thorough literature review, this research seeks to offer practical guidance to architects, designers, and policymakers. The findings supports the adoption of minimalistic principles that align with local cultural values and promote sustainable architectural practices. This study contributes to the discourse on contemporary architectural management and sustainable urban development in Addis Ababa.
