A total of 277 respondents were selected and concluded using purposive sampling, stratified and simple random sampling techniques were employed .instrument of data collection were questionnaires ,semi-structural interview guide and observation. The data analysis used statistical measurements led to the following major findings: It was found out that the study revealed that the TVET graduates from both Colleges passed low level skill and they don‟t have the required confidence in carrying out their duties and responsibilities, It was found out that TVET polytechnic Colleges and industries had weak linkage in such areas like industrial visits and work shop . It was found out that industries didn‟t recognize and appreciate the activities of trainers and their qualification adequately: Based on the findings ,it Was concluded that , instructors were usually using the traditional lecture method during the training instead of learner –centered methods and techniques. Finally , the following recommendations were forwarded: TVET polytechnic Colleges should establishes partnership with stakeholders through workshops ,Seminar, Curriculum development ,experience sharing and labor market analysis‟s ,the federal TVET Agency is advised to provide varies incentives for industries that accept trainees and help them the required skill , knowledge and work ethics.enChallenges and ProspectsThe Linkage between Polytechnic TVET Colleges and Industries in Addis Ababa: Challenges and Prospects.Thesis
