To this end relevant literature was reviewed to assess the state of research in the area. Furthermore, 25 women executives in different organizations were surveyed through interviews and using questionnaires. The questions were not only close-ended but open-ended questions so as to encourage transparent idea sharing. Cross tabulations were derived using related data. Analysis based on these tables led to the salient fact that women in managerial positions face gender based discrimination. Moreover, based on both the analysis and suggestions from the surveyed group, recommendations are given that are directed at tackling problems women face.
