The study employed a mixed-methods approach. For the quantitative part, a systematic random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 35 male migrant returnees. An interviewer-administered closed ended questionnaire used to collect the quantitative data from respondents. The participants of this study were 35 male migrant returnees from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The qualitative study employed Focus Group Discussion and In-depth interview. Thus, two Focus Group Discussion session consisting of five members per FGD and In-depth interview with 5 key informants were conducted to collect the qualitative dat. Participants of the qualitative study were selected using purposive sampling methods of research. Findings of the study indicated that male migrant returnees from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia faced various problems related to mental health & psychosocial, health, social and economic challenges. The study identified the common mental problems prevail on returnees include; headache, easily frightened, poor appetite , nervousness, worried feeling , poor digestion , feeling of valueless person, trouble thinking and unhappy feeling, loss of interest in things etc. The study identified that the overwhelming majority of respondents (97%) were suffering from stress and over 80% the study participants feels that they are stigmatized by their respective family and community members. Apart from these, the proportion of respondents who received any types of mental health and psychosocial support services from the relevant GO, NGOs and community members were only 26%. Barriers that hinder the provision of integrated MHPSS services, includes restricted access to MPSS services, limited access to health, education, land and housing. Absence of comprehensive and long term reintegration services is the main barrier for not addressing the MHPSS, social, health, economic needs of male migrant returnees.en-USThe Case of Shirka Woreda, Arsi Zone, Oromia, EthiopiaThesis
