Fourteen participants convicted of violent behavior were recruited from the sites and consented to participate in the study. A semi-structured one to one in-depth interview was conducted to elicit the juvenile perspective and analyzed using both inductive and deductive thematic analysis. Data analysis subsequently revealed four common themes among participants. These themes are: (1) Perceived influence (2) Individual difference on process of offending, (3) response after violence l (4) consequence.
