dc.description.abstract A survey was conducted in Catile the North Omo Zone. SOllthern Rifl Valley of Ethiopia, dun ng the dry munth of April and the wet moth of july with an aim of assessing the risk of bovine trypanomosis with regards to age, sex, altitude rainfall pattern and tsese challenge. This inillvolvedadminstration of a questionnaire to farmers. Determination of PCV and estimation of Trypanosome sprevalence in catile using the BCT .In order to assess the sensitivity trypanosome species to trypanocidal drugs, an isometamidiu chloride bloktrealment trial was carried out in 50 parasitologically positive animals. An ab-ELISA was also conducted for 720 serum samles from cattle to determine anti- trypanosomal antibody profiles with regards to age. Sxe and location(altitude) en_US
