| Abstract: | Tr-t'.? ua i n purpose f•• £ ~.be study was to find out "how ELT
teac:h~ls _:,,::,'pe with l:'ilge classes. Two focus hypothetical
questions were raised r namel y .. ate t e a cha t s aware of the
nature of large classes? If so .. how do they cope with large
classes? Juestionnaire and claSSlOO1i1 observations were used
to collect data that could help to answer the above
questions.
The results of the study showed that there is no
definite class size for defining large classes. It differs
from school to school. Teachers' perceptions of class size
also vary depending on teachers' own experiences. The
