| Abstract: | The main objective of this study is to look into the long-term resettlement and integration experiences of 1980s resettlers in Sheko District with special reference to Tigre-camp and Gize-Meret resettlement Sites.
The necessary data for the study were generated both from primary and secondary sources. In-depth interviews, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions (FGDs), were the principal means of generating data from primary sources. Secondary data were obtained from review of past studies and literature related to the subject under investigation. All of the data were analyzed qualitatively. A theoretical model and indicators of local-integration formulated by Kuhlman was adopted and used to support the analysis of data. |
