Abstract: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT I have no words to praise the Almighty GOD, the Beneficent, the Merciful, Whose blessings and exaltation flourished my thoughts, thrived my ambitions and enabled me to pass all the ups and downs I faced during my work. I would like to express my sincere and immense gratitude to my advisor Prf. W. Sokol for providing guidance, unwavering support, and encouragement. To me he has been and will always be a great mentor. Despite the fact that so many people have helped me in so many different ways, it is very difficult to remember and list all them. Yet it is a must, at least, to thank those who have the lions share. Special thanks must go to Andinet (D/n), Gethaun K., Getu G., Girmay G.,Hansu T., Hantal A., Messay B., Muluneh E., Samuel Z., Sindayo, Sisay T., Temesgen D., Temesgen M., Wassihun, Yeshitila G., Yohannes A., and Yoseph E. for your valuable time and help. Mule you were the most challenged one, thanks. I would also like to record my appreciation to all members of the chemical engineering department laboratory staff members, the Gambella Agricultural Research Center, and the Gambella Agricultural and Rural Development Bureau for their unfailing patience and good-humored support during my research works. Lastly and certainly not in the least, I would like to thank my family with the deepest gratitude for offering their words of encouragement, undying support and patience. I could not have done anything without them. God bless you all!
