| Abstract: | Abstract
I am sure that this work will not come out in the absence of the support and advice of my
families who are always in the forefront of my successes since my early school time. My
mother Agge, my father H/michael, and my brothers Asrat and Tadios deserve special
mention for their lovely encouragements and support.
There are also many relatives and friends who constantly gave me unending moral and
material assistance and encouragement. Thus, this is special occasion to extend my
profound gratitude to my heartily friends, brothers and sisters Mihret, Tamirat, Senie,
Ayele, G/mariam, Tesfa, Melaku, Elias, Shiferaw and many others. I also sincerely thank
Mr. R. M. Wafula, Consultant of AU Special Summit on Refugees, Returnees and IDPs
in Africa, who gave me valuable firsthand information and other key materials on the
drafting process of the AU IDPs Convention.
I am also particularly indebted to the ever well-coming lady, Kidist, and Mekonnen from
AUC Resource Centre, Kirubel from AUC Library, Desalegn from ICRC Documentation
Centre and the AAU Law Faculty Librarians esp. Begashaw for their generous and
valuable assistance in getting easy and free access to source materials.
Last but not least, I am indebted to the Tenagne and Tadu for their sincere secretarial
service despite my unfriendly and tiresome handwriting. |
