Abstract: ABSTRACT Relevant optimality criteria shall be established for thin-walled prismatic un-stiffened compressive members subjected to axial load and the Generalized Reduced Gradient Methods (GRG) bundled in VisualDOC will be implemented in determining optimum design. Subsequently, design charts and tables will be produced for tubular, channel, tee, I, angle, cruciform, square and rectangular hollow sections.
