Abstract: Mälkəa Krəstos was the only son of T’a əmä and Awganya. He was born in a province called Säräko, under Wärähimänu district, in Southern Wällo Administrative zone. Tradition and his Vita (f.18rb) tells us that he is the founder of the monastery of Gə äk’, in Ma a, South Wällo. Mälkə∂a Krəstos was the supporter of Orthodoxy and fought Anti – Orthodoxies & non – Christians. His Vita now and then mentions that he had founded various monasteries and churches in Northern Ethiopia. The current Vita, which I am going to deal with, is found in the monastery called Gə äk’. But fortunately I have found a copy of it in the Archives of the Provincial House of the Comboni Missionaries in Addis Ababa, which is a religious Congregation of the Catholic Church. The MS is 66 folios and written in two columns. Each column is composed of 19 lines. This paper aims to present a short summary of the Vita and to give brief textual analysis.
